The opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Chief Operating Officer - Insurance.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, strategic environment and takes a highly proactive approach, anticipating needs, solving problems early, and ensuring the Chief Operating Officer can operate efficiently and effectively.
The position
As Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer - Insurance, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support, acting as a key point of coordination between the Chief Operating Officer - Insurance, executive colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders.
This is a full‑time ongoing position
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Chief Operating Officer - Insurance to operate efficiently and effectively
- Proactive diary, inbox and meeting management for the Chief Operating Officer – Insurance
- Anticipating priorities, identifying potential issues early, and taking action without direction
Preparing agendas, briefing papers, presentations and correspondence
- Coordinating executive meetings, forums and governance activities
- Managing travel, expenses and other administrative requirements
- Building effective relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

Remuneration
This is a Grade 3 position and the total remuneration package for this position is starting from $83,738 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience
About you
- Proven experience supporting a Chief position, senior executive or GM-level leader
- Highly proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and act ahead of time
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities strategically
- Ability to demonstrate strong relationship building skills, across a wide range of diverse stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High levels of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail
- Confidence working in a digital, complex or fast-changing environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and sound judgement
